The past couple of weeks have been incredibly challenging for Danny, both physically and mentally. His recent five-day hospital stay involved an intense regimen of three chemotherapy treatments each day. On top of this demanding schedule, his left lung unexpectedly filled completely with fluid, putting him at serious risk of a collapsed lung. To address this urgently, doctors had to insert a catheter to drain the fluid.
Finally, on Sunday, April 27th, when his lung was no longer draining, we were relieved to bring Danny home. However, the following week took a significant toll on his body. As you can imagine, enduring fifteen rounds of chemotherapy in such a short period, left him with the most severe body aches he has experienced since the beginning of his treatment.
This weekend, Sunday, May 4th, we had to rush Danny back to the hospital due to some very concerning symptoms. We were devastated to learn that Danny had contracted E. coli, a serious infection likely stemming from one of the chemotherapy treatments. This infection quickly led to sepsis, causing a dangerously low drop in his blood pressure.
Today, May 5th, Danny has been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The medical team is working tirelessly to stabilize his body and fight this infection and bring up his blood
These recent developments have been incredibly difficult to process, but Danny continues to show his unwavering fighting spirit. We know he is giving this everything he has.
We humbly ask for your continued prayers for Danny during this critical time. He is truly battling with all his might, and your support provides us with strength and hope. We will update you again as soon as we have more news. Thank you for holding Danny in your thoughts.
